Warmer weather is here (or so we think?), and with it we’re delighted to introduce not ONLY our June macaron collection, but also our signature line of macaron ice cream sandwiches! Get ready to enjoy these adorable French treats in a variety of forms and flavors throughout the summer.
Our June macaron collection was inspired by PRIDE month—and as such, the macaron shells are decked out in the hues of the rainbow. The flavors themselves are a reflection of the delicious fruits and herbs found gracing Rhode Island gardens throughout the month of June.
Everyone’s perennial favorite, rhubarb, meets ginger buttercream and rhubarb jam in our Rhubarb Ginger cookie. Our Basil macaron is filled with a white chocolate and basil ganache that results in a delicately herbal experience, perfect for pairing with a cup of tea. For lovers of something more classic, our Strawberry Chocolate macaron features a strawberry and dark chocolate ganache. We invite ALL members of the community to stop by the bakery and indulge in these colorful treats as we celebrate equal rights, diversity, and the beauty of love!
For a cooler treat on a hot summer day, turn to Macaron Millie’s macaron ice cream sandwiches, which will now be available daily inside the bakery—NEW for Summer 2017! The flavors, which change regularly, reflect the best in seasonal fruits from local farms. Our pastry chefs fill Ellie’s signature macarons with fresh, homemade ice cream for our signature sweet with a twist. Current flavors include Horchata, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Pistachio Rhubarb. We’re also offering larger ice cream cookie sandwiches featuring a honey olive oil cookie filled with jasmine ice cream. While Millie herself will no longer be parked outside the store, the Macaron Millie cart is available to rent for public and private events throughout the season.
